Dietary food for special medical purposes providing a blend of amino acids that act as metabolic mediators of protein synthesis, intended for the dietary management of protein malnutrition in acute and chronic conditions accompanied by loss of muscle mass, and in age-related or cancer-related sarcopenia.
Made up of qualitatively and quantitatively well-defined essential amino acids which, by improving nutritional status, help preserve physical independence and reduce the risk of frailty, especially in older people. Thanks to its pleasant palatability, it is suitable for the diet both of individuals requiring enteral nutrition and of those with normal swallowing function, also easing the transition from enteral to oral nutrition.
Correct nutrition is the only way to limit and correct the metabolic changes associated with any medical or surgical condition. A key point of adequate nutrition is exercise tolerance, essential to preserve or improve mobility, self-sufficiency and quality of life: nutrition with a rehabilitative function.
The nutritional approach with AMINOTROFIC NE is based on established clinical results showing a significant increase in exercise tolerance. AMINOTROFIC NE:
1) improves muscle metabolism, making energy production more efficient;
2) increases the synthesis of muscle and plasma proteins;
3) counteracts the loss of muscle mass.
Thanks to these actions, resulting from an increase in the number and function of mitochondria, AMINOTROFIC NE supports the restoration of muscle mass lost due to chronic disease or advanced age and the recovery of motor activity. Clinical studies show that AMINOTROFIC NE can replace physical rehabilitation when this is not feasible, or can enhance its results.
Supplementation with AMINOTROFIC NE is recommended in the following situations:
1) reduced physical capacity or easy fatigue;
2) unplanned weight loss;
3) insufficient daily intake of foods containing high biological value protein (e.g. meat, cheese, milk, eggs);
4) being bedridden, immobile or having little daily physical activity, mainly confined to the home;
5) loss of muscle mass due to chronic disease (chronic heart failure, COPD, etc.);
6) during and after an infectious episode or recurrent infection;

Osmolarity
340 mOsmol/l when the contents of one sachet are dispersed in 100 ml of water

How to use Recommended minimum dosage: 1-2 sachets a day or as advised by your doctor, preferably away from main meals.
Enteral administration.
Preparation:
1) pour the contents of one sachet into a suitable dry container and disperse in 100/140 ml of water at room temperature or slightly warm;
2) stir until the product is completely dispersed;
3) flush the tube with 30 ml of water before and after administering the product;
4) administer using a syringe of at least 60 ml.
Do not mix the product with other enteral nutrition formulas in the same bag. Do not use the product parenterally.
Oral administration.
Preparation:
1) pour the contents of one sachet into a dry glass;
2) add water at room temperature or slightly warm and stir until the product is completely dispersed.
Consume immediately after preparation.
