STIMULFOS PET LINE DOG
Complementary feed for dogs, with high-concentration B vitamins, beta-glucans and phospholipids.
Indicated in all situations where stimulating the body's reactive capacity is useful: B vitamin deficiencies; convalescence after surgery or debilitating illnesses; anaemia; vaccination programmes; states of immunosuppression following treatment with antibiotics, antiparasitics and chemotherapy; paresis and tetany; stress of any origin; pregnancy; in young animals and sporting animals to support proper muscle development; in elderly animals to counteract the muscle decline typical of old age.
STIMULFOS Pet Line is formulated as highly palatable tablets thanks to the flavouring action of high-quality, non-allergenic hydrolysed animal proteins (average molecular weight below 1000 Dalton) and the use of B vitamins in the special protected Rocoat form, which ensures high stability and palatability.
STIMULFOS Pet Line combines three classes of components: beta-glucans, phospholipids and B vitamins (B1, B2, B6, B12, PP and calcium pantothenate).
Beta-glucans belong to a class of biologically active natural compounds known as BRMs (Biological Response Modifiers), which can positively influence the efficiency of the animal's immune system. Of great importance for their activity are their origin (which may be plant, bacterial, yeast or fungal, with major qualitative, quantitative and activity differences) and their chemical-physical characteristics (solubility, structure, molecular weight and number of branches). Macrogard Biorigin beta 1,3/1,6 glucans are polysaccharides extracted from the cell wall of the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae using a special technique that concentrates them while keeping their biological activity intact. The intestine is the organ with the most extensive and marked immune activity: after oral intake, beta-glucans can interact with specific receptors on the immune cells of the intestinal mucosa, triggering and modulating cytokine production, increasing leucocyte activity (phagocytic activity) and stimulating antibody production.
STIMULFOS Pet Line contains a specific source of phospholipids rich in phosphatidic acid, derived from soy, characterised by high bioavailability and purity and obtained by natural enzymatic methods without chemical extraction. Phosphatidic acid is the simplest membrane phospholipid and is also the key intermediate for the synthesis of all the other more specific phospholipids (phosphatidylcholine, phosphatidylserine, phosphatidylethanolamine and phosphatidylinositol), the main constituents of cell membranes; as a membrane component, phosphatidic acid accounts for 1-4% of total cellular phospholipids. Also of considerable importance, and discovered only in the last 10 years, is the activity of phosphatidic acid as a lipid mediator at cellular level; as such it mediates and regulates several fundamental biochemical processes involved in cell vitality, growth and proliferation, as well as in reactions to endogenous hormones and to organic and physiological stress of all kinds. The phosphorus intake per tablet due to phosphatidic acid (0.5 mg/10 kg b.w.) is negligible even compared with the minimum dietary intake of a specific diet for chronic kidney disease (300 mg/10 kg b.w.).
STIMULFOS Pet Line contains B-complex vitamins in high concentrations, well above the minimum requirements recommended by FEDIAF (Fédération européenne de l'industrie des aliments pour animaux familiers); in STIMULFOS Pet Line these vitamins are combined to stimulate cell metabolism and compensate for deficiency or increased requirements in situations of metabolic stress, keeping intact and efficient all the coenzyme systems that use these vitamins. Vitamin B1 acts favourably on the nervous system and the myocardium, in situations of stress and intense muscular work. Vitamin B2 is involved in biological oxidation processes, supporting normal cell trophism. Vitamin B6 is involved in protein metabolism, especially in the bone marrow, nervous system, liver and skin. Vitamin B12 is a constituent of coenzymes essential for cell growth and replication, particularly with regard to haematopoiesis, the central and peripheral nervous system and the liver. Vitamin PP plays a fundamental role in numerous oxidation-reduction reactions essential for tissue respiration. Pantothenic acid is a cofactor in the enzymatic reactions of oxidative carbohydrate metabolism, in the synthesis and breakdown of fatty acids, and in the synthesis of sterols and steroid hormones. Its deficiency causes signs of neuromuscular degeneration and adrenocortical insufficiency. Finally, STIMULFOS Pet Line contains vitamin E, which thanks to its antioxidant properties protects the body's cell membranes by trapping free radicals and preventing their spread.
Ingredients
Products of the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae (28 %), mono- and diglycerides of C14-C18 fatty acids, maltodextrin, hydrolysed animal proteins, stearic acid of vegetable origin.
Nutritional additives (mg/kg): vitamin B1 (42200), niacinamide (28100), calcium D-pantothenate (25300), vitamin B2 (14000), vitamin B6 (8400), vitamin E (1400), vitamin B12 (85).
Technological additives (mg/kg): E322/soy lecithin (35200).
Analytical constituents: crude protein 18%, crude fibre 15%, crude oils and fats 29%, crude ash 7%, HCl-insoluble ash 5.4%.

Directions for use
One tablet per 10 kg of the animal's body weight once a day.
The daily dose can be doubled depending on the animal's condition and the veterinarian's advice.
Give for at least two weeks.
The palatable tablets can be given directly or crumbled into a little food the animal likes.
The tablets can be divided into four parts to make it easier to adjust to body weight: place the tablet on a flat surface with the side bearing the score lines facing upwards; press the centre of the tablet with your thumb to divide it into 4 quarters.
