Description
Class IIa CE Medical Device (Dir. 93/42/EEC). Sterilised with ethylene oxide.
Enteral tube feeding. Administration system consisting of an empty ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) bag, top-filled, and an integrated giving set, 230 cm long, for connection to the feeding tube. The giving set has an ENFit connector specific for enteral nutrition, both for connection to the tubes and for the side access port.
For Infinity and 800 sets.
The device is latex-free and phthalate-free.

Recommendations
Tube feeding may only begin once the correct position of the tube has been confirmed (for example by measuring the pH of the gastric contents). Follow aseptic practices when handling feeds, tubes and feeding sets. Flush the tube before and after administering food and medicines, and at least 3 times a day. Sets must be changed every 24 hours. For powdered feeds, the hang time is only 8 hours due to the risk of contamination.
