Description
Aproten biscuits are a low-protein baked treat designed to complete the daily diet of those who need to keep their protein intake very low. Their limited protein, sodium, phosphorus and potassium content makes them compatible with the dietary management of kidney failure, while their minimal phenylalanine and tyrosine values also make them suitable for metabolic amino acid disorders such as phenylketonuria and tyrosinaemia. The same profile is taken into account in the dietary plans of people taking Levodopa.
- Dough made with maize starch, sunflower oil, sugar and maltodextrins
- 1.4% honey and chicory inulin for sweetness and fibre
- Sunflower lecithin as emulsifier, no declared hydrogenated fats
- 0.3 g protein, 12 mg phenylalanine and 12 mg tyrosine per 100 g
Each 100 g provides 463 kcal, 16 g fat of which 1.4 g saturates, 78 g carbohydrate and 3 g fibre: include them in the daily allowance agreed with your doctor or dietitian, on their own or with a drink.
