Glucartrol Forte 20 Sachets

Food supplement based on Glucosamine sulphate and Chondroitin sulphate, physiological substances naturally present in the body's joint cartilage. Glucosamine is naturally present in the human body and is used for the biosynthesis of the hyaluronic acid in synovial fluid and of the proteoglycans in joint cartilage. Chondroitin sulphate is one of the main building blocks of cartilage where, bound to proteins, it forms proteoglycans, gelatinous-viscous substances that give cartilage its characteristic mechanical and elastic properties. In degenerative conditions of the osteoarthritic type, a metabolic defect occurs in the biosynthesis of Glucosamine and Chondroitin sulphate, and therefore of cartilage proteoglycans, resulting in a progressive deterioration of joint function due to degeneration of the cartilage itself. An external supply of Glucosamine sulphate and Chondroitin sulphate has a trophic action on joint cartilage, compensating for the cartilage deficit, stimulating proteoglycan synthesis and thus helping to halt or slow the degenerative joint process underlying osteoarthritic conditions. Considered separately, neither Glucosamine sulphate nor Chondroitin sulphate has all the characteristic features of a chondroprotective agent: this occurs when their effects are combined by administering them together.

Ingredients
Bulking agent: maltodextrin; sweeteners: sorbitol, isomalt; acidifier: citric acid monohydrate; glucosamine sulphate (from crustaceans); bovine chondroitin sulphate; acidity regulator: anhydrous sodium carbonate; flavouring: citrus (orange and lemon flavouring and juice; carrier: maltodextrin); sweetener: sucralose.

How to use
Take one sachet a day, preferably after main meals and as needed, dissolving the contents in half a glass of water, stirring well and drinking immediately. It is also advisable to take the product for a period of no less than 6 weeks and to repeat the course every 2 months.

Warnings
Keep out of the reach of children under three years of age. Do not take the product during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a varied diet. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Do not consume after the best-before date. The product contains traces of crustaceans. The product contains polyols, therefore excessive consumption may have a laxative effect.

Storage
Store in a cool (<25°C), dry place away from light and heat sources. The expiry date refers to the product in unopened packaging, correctly stored.
