Description Nutritionally complete formula based on extensively hydrolysed casein, designed to meet the daily requirements of infants with cow's milk protein allergy. It is the first formula for allergic infants with the recommended levels of DHA (Omega 3), which support normal visual development. Nutramigen 2 contains the probiotic LGG, a combination that supports the dietary management of cow's milk allergy and helps a faster return to a normal diet. The extensively hydrolysed formula has a different taste and smell from standard infant formulas, so the infant needs to get used to it.

Directions for use 1) Wash your hands thoroughly. Wash and boil bottles, teats, rings, caps and utensils in water for 1 minute.
2) Boil more water for 1 minute and let it cool to room temperature before starting preparation. Pour the correct amount of cooled water into the bottle.
3) Add the correct amount of powder to the water (see feeding table). Keep the scoop dry in the tin.
4) Close the bottle, first roll it between your hands and then shake it vigorously. Check the temperature on the inside of your wrist.
Once prepared, the product deteriorates quickly. Feed immediately after preparation, otherwise cover the feed and store it in the fridge at 2-4°C for no more than 24 hours. Do not freeze prepared formula and do not use it if it has been out of the fridge for more than 2 hours. Use any feed that has been in contact with the infant's mouth within 1 hour and do not put the bottle back in the fridge. Discard any product left in the bottle and clean the utensils carefully. Do not use microwave ovens to heat the feed.

*Use only the scoop included in the tin to measure the powder. One level, uncompressed scoop (4.7 g) is added to every 30 ml of water.
Warnings Breast milk is the ideal food for infants. If breastfeeding is not possible, Nutramigen 2 LGG is suitable for the diet of infants with cow's milk protein allergy and must be used under the supervision of a paediatrician. Nutramigen 2 LGG is suitable for feeding infants from birth up to 6 months of age and can be used as the sole source of nutrition. The product may often cause soft, greenish stools.
For your baby's health, follow the instructions for preparation and use of the product carefully. Correct hygiene, preparation, dilution, use and storage are important when preparing the bottle. Powdered infant foods are not sterile. The doctor will assess the use of the product in appropriate cases. Failure to follow these instructions can seriously harm health. Not for parenteral use.
Storage Store the tin in a cool, dry place.
Close the pack tightly after use, store it in a dry place and use the contents within one month of first opening. Do not freeze the powder. Avoid exposure to heat sources.
Shelf life in unopened packaging: 15 months.
