Souvenaid is a food for special medical purposes, designed to meet the specific needs of people with age-related cognitive decline. It contains Fortasyn Connect, an exclusive patented combination of nutrients (omega-3 fatty acids, phospholipids, choline, uridine monophosphate, vitamin E, vitamin C, vitamin B6, B12, folic acid and selenium) that acts directly on synapses in the brain.
Souvenaid has been studied in three scientifically validated clinical trials:
- in subjects with mild Alzheimer's disease, verbal memory performance improved after 12 weeks of treatment;
- in subjects with mild Alzheimer's disease, overall memory improved after 24 and 48 weeks of treatment;
- in subjects with cognitive decline, taking Souvenaid for 24 months led to improved cognitive and functional performance and episodic memory.
Souvenaid has also shown 90% tolerability.
Souvenaid is a ready-to-drink preparation in a small bottle, to be taken once a day.
