SPACER CHAMBER FOR INHALERS

Indications
Valved holding chamber that helps you use spray medicine inhalers (metered dose inhaler, MDI). It improves the effectiveness of drug delivery to the lungs while reducing side effects.

Dosage and Directions for use
1 - before use, examine the product carefully, checking that it is correctly assembled and that there are no foreign bodies or missing parts. Remove any foreign body before use.
2- before use, read the instructions supplied with the MDI. Remove the cap from the MDI;
3- insert the MDI into the base;
4- place the mask on the face and make sure it fits completely against the face. To prevent the mask from being squashed, hold the device so that your hand supports both the mask and the chamber;
5- press the MDI and inhale slowly through the mouth. Keep the mask pressed firmly against the face for at least 5 breaths after pressing the inhaler. During inhalation, air enters through the openings in the base, making it easier to inhale the spray. Exhaled air leaves through the exhalation valve;
6- wait 30 seconds before giving another dose of medicine (repeat steps 4-5), or as directed by your doctor. Give only one puff of medicine at a time and follow your doctor's dosing instructions.

Cleaning instructions
If the device is always used by the same person, clean it as indicated. If the device is used by more than one person, after each use it must be not only cleaned but also sterilised in an autoclave at 121°C for 15 minutes. The device can be sterilised up to 20 times without compromising its functional characteristics, after which it must be replaced. If considered appropriate, for thorough cleaning the device can be boiled or washed in the dishwasher.
A - the product should be cleaned according to the following instructions before first use and then at least once a week: remove the base and the mask;
B - soak the parts for 15 minutes in lukewarm water with a neutral detergent with disinfectant action. Shake gently;
C - rinse in clean water;
D - shake to remove excess water as shown. Do not use dry cloths to dry the parts of the device. Make sure the parts are dry before reassembling them;
E - put the base and mask back in place when the parts are completely dry and ready for use. Line up the alignment arrow on the rear component with the alignment notch on the body as shown.

Warnings
Replace the product if any component is damaged. Because of their size, some components could be swallowed by children. Do not leave these components unattended. An adult must always be present. Do not disassemble the product beyond what is indicated in the cleaning instructions. If you have any doubts about using the product, consult your doctor or pharmacist. Clean the product only as indicated in these instructions to ensure it works effectively.

Storage
When not in use, store the product in a clean container.
Replace the product after 24 months of continuous use.

Formats
- Yellow base: mask for children 2-6 years;
- orange base: mask for children 0-2 years;
- magenta base: mask for adults.
