Description Ensure Plus Advance is a high-calorie oral nutritional supplement (1.5 kcal/ml) with an exclusive combination of HMB*, protein and vitamin D to effectively help prevent loss of muscle mass.
It helps prevent loss of muscle tone in people who are ill or immobile and supports the recovery of muscle mass during convalescence.
*HMB (beta-hydroxy-beta-methylbutyric acid) is a metabolite of the essential amino acid leucine, which specifically supports protein synthesis and helps prevent the breakdown of the body's own proteins.
It is particularly suitable:
- in cases of malnutrition;
- in cases of high protein requirements;
- to counteract age-related loss of muscle mass;
- for recovery after hospitalisation and/or illness;
- in cases of frailty.
