With multiCare-in cholesterol strips you can quickly check your blood cholesterol levels and inform your family doctor in order to find a suitable therapy or check an existing one. Blood cholesterol levels are influenced by diet, but also by medicines, diabetes mellitus, pregnancy and serious illnesses. Checking blood cholesterol concentration is recommended for all people who smoke, drink too much alcohol and eat fatty foods, are overweight or do not exercise enough. It is particularly suitable for people who have already had heart disease or have a family history of heart disease before the age of 60. Carry out the test after fasting for at least 9 hours.

Cholesterol values:
Less than 200 mg/dL (5.1 mmol/L) = desirable values; from 200 mg/dL (5.1 mmol/L) to 239 mg/dL (6.1 mmol/L) = high risk factor; greater than or equal to 240 mg/dL (6.1 mmol/L) = high cholesterol.
