Allantoin is a natural substance extracted primarily from the root of comfrey (Symphytum officinale) of the Boraginaceae family. It has been used since ancient times for its antimicrobial and healing properties.
This ointment is helpful in preventing skin maceration and as an adjuvant in the repair process of wounds, burns and ulcers; it keeps the skin soft and avoids stress to the skin in critical conditions.
