COLPOFIX PESSARIES
Description
Medical device that helps keep the natural defences of the vagina unaltered and supports the restoration of the vaginal flora; the specific formula based on hyaluronic acid and lactic acid helps eliminate symptoms resulting from an imbalance in vaginal hydration and/or pH. Hyaluronic acid has a moisturising and lubricating action against vaginal dryness, supporting the restoration of the vaginal environment.
Lactic acid, a component normally present in the vagina, promotes immediate pH correction and supports the natural restoration of the delicate vulvovaginal ecosystem. Polycarbophil, once bound to vaginal mucus, releases H+ ions steadily, helping to lower the pH of the vaginal environment.
Directions for use
Insert 1 pessary into the vagina a day, preferably in the evening before bedtime, for 5-7 days after the end of the menstrual period or as directed by your doctor, for a maximum of 30 days. The product is compatible with condoms.
Components
Hyaluronic acid sodium salt, polycarbophil, lactic acid, vitamin E, vitamin A, 18-beta glycyrrhetinic acid, tea tree oil, phosphatidylcholine, semi-synthetic triglycerides.
Warnings
Keep out of the reach of children. Do not swallow. Do not use the product if the packaging is not intact. Do not use in case of known hypersensitivity to one or more of the components. Do not use the product in case of vaginal lesions or wounds. Do not use during menstruation. Do not exceed the recommended dose without medical advice. Use, especially if prolonged, may cause sensitisation.
If this occurs, stop treatment and consult your doctor so that appropriate treatment can be started. It is important to inform your doctor or pharmacist of any side effects not described in this leaflet. In pregnant and breastfeeding women, use of the pessaries should be limited to cases of real need and under direct medical supervision. If the hymen is intact, consult your gynaecologist about the specific method of use before using the product. Single-use device: do not reuse in case of accidental leakage. Risk of infection if reused.
Storage
Keep the pack tightly closed in a dry place, between 5 °C and 25 °C, away from light and heat sources. Do not use after the expiry date shown.
The expiry date refers to the intact, correctly stored product.
