Description
Food supplement based on iron, vitamin C, folic acid (folate) and vitamin B12, useful to provide a supplementary intake of these nutrients in the event of dietary deficiencies or increased requirements. Iron contributes to normal formation of red blood cells and haemoglobin and to normal oxygen transport in the body; together with vitamin C, vitamin B12 and folate, it contributes to the normal function of the immune system and to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue, and contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism and normal cognitive function. Vitamin C increases iron absorption. Supplemental folic acid intake increases maternal folate status. Low maternal folate status is a risk factor in the development of neural tube defects in the developing foetus. Folate contributes to normal blood formation and to maternal tissue growth during pregnancy. Vitamin B12 also contributes to normal red blood cell formation. Naturcaps: vegetable capsule derived from cellulose.

Lipofer (maize starch, ferric pyrophosphate; emulsifier: lecithin); bulking agent: microcrystalline cellulose; coating agent: hydroxypropyl methylcellulose; vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid); anti-caking agents: silicon dioxide, magnesium salts of fatty acids; vitamin B12 (cyanocobalamin), Quatrefolic [(6S)-5-methyltetrahydrofolic acid, glucosamine salt].

Directions for use
Take 1-2 naturcaps a day, swallowed with plenty of water. For women of childbearing age, the beneficial effect is obtained with a supplemental daily folic acid intake of 400 mcg (2 naturcaps) for at least one month before and up to three months after conception.
