READY
GEL STRAWBERRY

Description
Ready Gel (strawberry flavour) is an innovative product useful as a first response in case of nausea and vomiting, including in children.
In most cases vomiting is a symptom linked to acute gastroenteritis, and in these cases the WHO (World Health Organization) and ESPGHAN (European Society for Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition) recommend the use
ad libitum of reduced-osmolarity glucose-saline oral rehydration solutions.
However, in many cases giving these solutions immediately is not easy because of their unpleasant taste.
Thanks to its gel consistency, Ready Gel tastes great and is also much better tolerated than common oral rehydration solutions. In any case, it is always useful to continue rehydration by giving water and/or oral rehydration solutions.
If moderate or severe dehydration is suspected, seek medical care immediately. Ready Gel is not a simple oral rehydration solution, but a triple-action gel.

In particular, Ready Gel contains:
- citrates and standardised ginger extract, which help prevent the onset of ketosis (acetone) and, as reported by recent scientific studies, have an anti-nausea action, thus limiting episodes of vomiting and helping to prevent dehydration.
- Mineral salts (sodium, potassium, chloride) and glucose in the specific quantities set by the World Health Organization (WHO) and ESPGHAN (European Society for Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition), which recommend the use of oral rehydration solutions
in situations of dehydration.
- Saccharomyces boulardii and fibre (inulin), useful for restoring the balance of the intestinal flora and counteracting episodes of diarrhoea, which often increase in response to the use of common oral rehydration solutions, preventing proper rehydration.
The same ESPGHAN guidelines mentioned above confirm the effectiveness and safety of Saccharomyces boulardii, recommending its use in acute gastroenteritis in children.
Nausea and vomiting also occur due to ketosis (acetone) or motion sickness (car sickness, seasickness). Given its composition and excellent tolerability, Ready Gel is particularly suitable in these situations.
