Blefastop Plus
GAUZES
Disposable natural cotton wipes soaked in a solution based on Hy-Ter (hyaluronic acid plus natural Melaleuca extracts) and Aloe, with a cleansing, emollient, soothing and decongestant action.
Formulated with natural anti-inflammatory and antiseptic ingredients, they provide rapid relief from symptoms.
Indicated for daily eyelid and eyelash hygiene and also in the presence of allergic, inflammatory or infectious eye conditions such as blepharitis or blepharoconjunctivitis.
In posterior blepharitis there is also blockage of the Meibomian glands, which are located inside the eyelid and secrete an oil that is essential to prevent evaporation of the tear film.
Treatment with warm compresses (40-45°C) combined with eyelid massage allows these blocked glands to open and be cleaned and may enable them to resume the natural production of the lipids (oils) needed for a healthy tear film.
Directions for use
- Heat the compress until it changes colour (from orange to yellow). The colour change indicates that the compress has reached 43°C, the ideal temperature for eyelid massage
- Holding the warm eye compress by the tab, massage the eyelid for 3-5 minutes applying light pressure.
- Immediately after applying the warm eye compress, open the sachet by tearing it at the opening notch.
- Unfold the wipe completely and pass it gently over the eyelid and eyelashes, starting from the inner corner of the eye towards the outer corner, keeping the eye closed.
How to heat the eye compress
The compress can be heated in several ways:
- Hold the compress under very hot running water until it changes colour.
- Immerse the compress in a container (glass) filled with hot water until it changes colour (from orange to yellow). Always check the temperature of the compress before the eye massage by touching it with the inside of your wrist. If it is too hot, wait a few minutes and try again.
- Check that the compress is intact before reusing it.
Put the compress back in the pack after rinsing it in water.
Use one wipe for each eye. Wash your hands after use.
Do not rinse the eye after use.
