• Polyhexanide (PHMB) is an effective and well-tolerated antimicrobial substance that inhibits the growth of microorganisms and reduces the bioburden. PHMB is characterised by its non-specific electrostatic interaction with bacterial cell walls.
• POLIkol 400 has excellent emollient, lubricating, solubilising, moisturising and antistatic properties. In cosmetic formulations POLIkol 400 acts as a solubiliser and humectant, binding water. It can be used effectively to modify the rheology of active substances.

Directions for use

Remove the gauze and apply it directly to the affected area, previously cleansed and disinfected. Cover with sterile gauze and/or cotton wool (in the case of heavily exuding sores). At subsequent dressings, unless specifically contraindicated, the area may first be rinsed with water, as the cream is completely water-dispersible and leaves no residue. Repeat the application every 48 hours unless otherwise advised by your doctor. Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
