Description
Muscle contractions of the uterus are the cause of period pain affecting the lower abdomen and back.
ThermaCare for Period Pain provides therapeutic heat that relaxes the abdominal muscles to relieve menstrual cramps and associated back pain.

Directions for use
Open the pouch when ready to use. ThermaCare may take up to 30 minutes to reach its therapeutic temperature. Remove the protective paper to expose the adhesive side. Position over the painful area, applying the adhesive side to your underwear and not in contact with the skin (part of the wrap may extend beyond the underwear). For maximum effectiveness, we recommend wearing ThermaCare for 8 hours.
The product can be disposed of warm or cold with normal household waste.
Warnings
Do not use:
• if the contents of the cells leak and/or the wrap is damaged;
• with medicated creams or ointments, patches or other heat sources;
• on scratched or broken skin;
• on bruises or swelling that have appeared in the last 48 hours;
• on areas of the body insensitive to heat;
• by people who are unable to follow all the instructions for use or who cannot remove the product by themselves, including children and dependent elderly people.
Seek medical advice before use in cases of diabetes, circulation problems, heart disease, rheumatoid arthritis and pregnancy.
This product can cause burns; to reduce the risk:
• Check the skin periodically for any signs of irritation or burns and, if any are found, stop use immediately.
• If you feel excessive heat, stop use or wear ThermaCare over a layer of clothing, not in direct contact with the skin.
• Over the age of 55, the risk of burns increases with age; do not wear ThermaCare while sleeping.
• To avoid an increased risk of burns, remove the product before undergoing MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) scans.
• Do not use for more than 8 hours in any 24-hour period.
• Do not apply excessive pressure to the product or wear it under tight clothing or belts.
Stop use and consult a doctor if pain increases or remains unchanged after 4 days, and if you notice discomfort, irritation, burning, swelling, redness or any other persistent change in the skin where the product was worn.
Keep out of the reach of children and pets.
The heat-generating cells contain iron (∼2 g). If the iron comes into direct contact with the skin or eyes, remove the wrap, rinse thoroughly with water and consult a doctor immediately. Also consult a doctor in case of accidental ingestion.
Do not heat the product in any way (e.g. microwave oven) or attempt to reheat it, as the wrap could catch fire.
Do not use after the expiry date shown on the pack and label.
