Description
Medical device for the treatment of gastro-oesophageal reflux.
The product has a synergistic action:
anti-reflux (thanks to sodium alginate);
antacid (thanks to sodium bicarbonate);
protective of the gastric mucosa (thanks to pure Aloe vera juice).
Indicated for the treatment of gastro-oesophageal reflux and for relieving associated symptoms such as burning, acid regurgitation, reflux oesophagitis, heartburn, cough and laryngopharyngeal inflammation. Mayday is also indicated for heartburn due to poor digestion.
It has a mechanical action thanks to double-concentrated pure Aloe vera juice enriched with sodium alginate, sodium bicarbonate, sodium carbonate and calcium carbonate. The sodium bicarbonate and sodium and calcium carbonates also reduce stomach hyperacidity. Pure Aloe vera juice, thanks to its naturally occurring polysaccharides, has a protective action on the mucous membranes: by adhering to the walls of the oesophagus and stomach, it forms a protective film that defends the tissues from gastric juices or irritants. The virtues of double-concentrated pure Aloe vera juice are combined with those of sodium alginate which, on contact with stomach acid, reacts to form a gel. The gel, trapping the bubbles of carbon dioxide released by the carbonates in the formulation, settles in the upper part of the stomach, forming a barrier that mechanically prevents gastric juices from rising into the oesophagus. The product contains no water as a diluent, as this is entirely replaced by unpasteurised, non-carbon-filtered pure Aloe vera juice, double-concentrated through the exclusive ReversOsmose process.
Ingredients
Inner leaf juice and fillet of Aloe vera L. (Syn. Aloe barbadensis Miller)*, sodium alginate, sodium bicarbonate, calcium carbonate, sodium carbonate, polyacrylic acid, titanium dioxide, mint flavouring, sodium propyl-P-hydroxybenzoate, sodium methyl-P-hydroxybenzoate, sucralose.
Directions for use
Warnings
For oral use.
Use of this product is contraindicated in case of established individual hypersensitivity or allergy to it or to any of its components.
The presence of sodium requires particular care when administering the product to people suffering from hypertension, heart or kidney failure.
During pregnancy, breastfeeding and in children under twelve, consult a doctor before use.
Do not exceed the recommended dose.
Use the product in accordance with the instructions for use.
In case of concomitant use with other products, check possible interactions with your doctor. The product may interfere with the absorption of oral medicines. It is therefore advisable to consult a doctor if taking oral medicines at the same time, which should in any case be taken at least 2 hours apart.
In adolescents (12-18 years) use only when genuinely necessary and under close medical supervision.
If no improvement is noticed after 7 days of treatment, consult a doctor.
Not for prolonged treatment.
Do not use the device after the expiry date.
Do not use if the sachet or pack is damaged.
Each sachet is single-use and should be opened only immediately before use: do not reuse partially used sachets, as this could lead to ineffectiveness or contamination of the product.
Keep out of the reach of children.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
Shelf life in intact packaging: 36 months.
