PAPILOCARE
Vaginal Gel
Description
Gel for the prevention and adjuvant treatment of lesions caused by papillomavirus (HPV).
- Creates a protective barrier that prevents the risk of HPV integration and the formation of new lesions.
- Aids the re-epithelialisation of existing lesions.
- Stimulates regeneration of the vaginal microbiota.
Papilocare is indicated for:
- controlling and helping to re-epithelialise the cervical transformation zone to prevent the risk of lesions (LSIL) caused by HPV;
- the adjuvant treatment of intraepithelial lesions caused by HPV;
- repairing and helping to re-epithelialise lesions of the cervicovaginal mucosa;
- treating dryness of the cervicovaginal mucosa;
- rebalancing the vaginal microbiota;
- improving vaginal health;
- creating the conditions for rapid healing of lesions caused by rubbing due to burning or itching;
- forming a protective film that quickly reduces discomfort, creating suitable conditions to support the natural healing process.
The main components of the formulation are:
- substances that allow a mucoadhesive gel to form on the cervicovaginal mucosa, creating a protective film that supports the barrier action of the product;
- hyaluronic acid niosomes, which moisturise the tissues and help preserve their elasticity;
- beta-glucan niosomes: thanks to their antioxidant properties, they maintain the natural structure and function of the skin and mucous membranes;
- Centella asiatica phytosomes, which help repair damaged mucosa;
- Coriolus versicolor extract, which helps re-epithelialise and repair cervicovaginal lesions and micro-lesions;
- neem extract, with emollient properties that support the natural healing process;
- BioEcolia, a prebiotic that stimulates the growth of beneficial bacterial flora and rebalances the microbiota in the cervicovaginal area;
- aloe vera extract, which moisturises, re-epithelialises and repairs the cervicovaginal area.
Papilocare is recommended for (adult) women who are positive for papillomavirus (HPV), regardless of the presence of lesions caused by the virus (ASCUS or LSIL).
Directions for use
The treatment lasts 6 months, and may be extended further according to medical prescription. It is important to complete the entire treatment cycle to achieve the expected results.
It is recommended to start treatment after the menstrual period.
First month: apply one cannula a day for 21 consecutive days, then stop treatment for the following 7 days.
Following months (second to sixth): apply one cannula every other day for 21 days.
Stopping Papilocare treatment during the menstrual period is recommended only for patient comfort; there are no clinical incompatibilities.
Preferably apply before going to sleep.
Compatible with condom use.
Discard any cannula that is open or broken. The cannula is designed to make administration of the product easier. Insert the cannula into the vagina and apply pressure to release its contents. Then withdraw the cannula from the vagina while keeping it pressed so that it does not draw back the dispensed product.
A little gel may remain inside the cannula; this does not mean that less than the recommended dose has been delivered, as the cannula releases enough to cover the cervicovaginal mucosa (3 ml). Discard the cannula after use. Do not reuse a used cannula or share it with other patients.
Warnings
Keep out of the reach of children.
If pregnant, consult your doctor.
Do not use in case of known hypersensitivity to any of its components.
If you feel discomfort after application, stop using the product and consult a doctor.
No data are available on the use of Papilocare together with contraceptives (for example vaginal rings or female condoms), so the use of Papilocare is not recommended for women using this type of contraceptive. If pregnant, consult your doctor before using Papilocare and use it under strict medical supervision.
