Brillant Plus AcquaFlate by Teleflex Medical is a Foley-type indwelling bladder catheter, made of 100% pure silicone and classified as a Class IIB medical device. Size Ch16 with a length of 41 cm, cylindrical tip and two side eyes makes it suitable for long-term urinary drainage; being latex-free, it is also a suitable choice for patients sensitive to this material.

Features

The catheter is two-way and features a 10 ml balloon and a funnel with a special valve compatible with luer and luer-lock syringes. The pack includes a pre-filled syringe with water and 10% glycerine for balloon inflation: this ensures better retention over time, reduces the risk of catheter displacement and shortens preparation time.

Use and packaging

Each catheter is supplied in a sterile single pack, which preserves sterility during transport and preparation for catheterisation; instructions for use are included inside. Insertion and management of the device must be carried out by healthcare professionals or by those who have been adequately trained, following aseptic procedures.
