Leniref 30 Chewable Tablets

Leniref is a medical device formulated as chewable tablets, designed for people living with gastro-oesophageal reflux and its accompanying symptoms, such as heartburn, oesophagitis, acid regurgitation and stomach burning. It is also used in laryngopharyngeal reflux and associated symptoms: voice changes, dry cough, a feeling of a foreign body in the throat, difficulty swallowing and irritation of the upper airways.

Composition

Each 1.3 g tablet provides magnesium alginate 250 mg, Mucosave plus HC (Opuntia ficus indica L., Olea europaea L., maltodextrins) 60 mg, calcium carbonate 80 mg and potassium bicarbonate 40 mg. Excipients include magnesium hydroxide, isomalt, sucralose, mint flavouring, microcrystalline cellulose and silicon dioxide. The formulation is gluten-free and lactose-free.

How to use

Place the tablet in the mouth and chew it or let it dissolve, also breaking it and taking it a little at a time; you can then drink a little still water. For adults and adolescents from 12 years, 2 tablets after meals and in the evening before bedtime are recommended, with a possible further dose during the day on a doctor's advice. Do not swallow the tablet whole and do not continue use for more than 30 consecutive days.

Do not use in case of known hypersensitivity to the components, gastrointestinal perforation or obstruction, and do not give to children under 12 unless otherwise advised by a doctor. Due to its viscous nature, it may slow or reduce the absorption of medicines taken at the same time: it is therefore advisable to consult a doctor before use, particularly during treatment with oral contraceptives or life-saving medicines.
