In the orange colour-coded version, L'Espace is a 220 ml spacer chamber for metered-dose spray inhalers with a mask designed for newborns: the dead space is reduced to 34 ml to match the breathing volumes of the very young.

How it is made

• Conical shape, which makes a greater fraction of the medicine available to the lower airways
• Lamellar base with variable-opening slats that adapt to the strength of inhalation
• Anatomical, ergonomic mask with excellent seal at minimal pressure
• One inhalation valve and two exhalation valves; the coloured valve allows visual monitoring of breathing
• Base with universal fitting for all MDIs (Metered Dose Inhalers)
• Latex-free, low electrostatic charge, sterilisable at 121 °C

How to use

Before use, check that the product is correctly assembled and that there are no foreign bodies or missing components. Insert the MDI into the base, apply the mask, press the inhaler and let the child inhale slowly for at least 5 breaths. Wait 30 seconds before any subsequent dose, administering only one puff at a time and following your doctor's dosage instructions.

Maintenance

The device can be sterilised up to 20 times without compromising its functional characteristics; after that it should be replaced. Supplied with a fabric bag for better hygiene and safer transport.
