Description

Pack of 50 BGStar test strips for the quantitative measurement of glucose in capillary whole blood. They are used with BGStar, iBGStar and MyStar family meters and are designed for people living with diabetes who take frequent measurements throughout the day.

How they work

The test strip contains the enzyme glucose oxidase (GOx), which reacts with the glucose in the blood to produce an electrochemical signal proportional to its concentration: the meter converts this into the blood glucose value shown on the display.

How to use

Insert a strip into the meter, prick the chosen sampling site and bring the drop of blood into contact with the tip of the strip. Wait for the result to appear on the meter display.
