Description

Jonexa UP 2% is a medical device consisting of a sterile, non-pyrogenic injectable hydrogel based on highly purified cross-linked sodium hyaluronate obtained by biofermentation, dissolved in a physiological, isotonic buffer.

Administered by intra-articular injection into the synovial space of the knee, it acts as a viscosupplement when the viscosity of the synovial fluid is reduced due to osteoarthritis. It provides a lubricating and shock-absorbing effect on the joint, helping to reduce pain and improve function.

The syringe must be used only by a qualified doctor, following all rules of aseptic procedure and injection technique, with a suitable sterile needle (18-21G needles are recommended). The recommended dose is 3-4 ml for each knee joint, preferably in a single session. Do not administer in case of known hypersensitivity to hyaluronic acid or the other components.
