Sterile, moisturising and lubricating ophthalmic solution for dogs and cats containing: carboxypolymethylene, thimerosal, sodium hydroxide, disodium EDTA and distilled water. Under normal conditions there is a perfect balance between the production and elimination of the tear film, whose many functions are essential for efficient vision. The tear film has a moisturising and lubricating function that allows blinking and protects the corneal epithelium, maintaining normal hydration. The amount of tear film normally secreted ensures a corneal surface of high optical quality, allows corneal respiration by promoting the exchange of atmospheric oxygen and carbon dioxide, and removes metabolites, normal cellular debris from desquamation and any foreign bodies. Particular conditions such as high ambient temperatures and air pollution can increase the evaporation rate of the tear film, altering its turnover and causing dry eye. This condition may be aggravated in some breeds due to the particular anatomical structure of the eyeball. The use of Epigel provides a moisturising and lubricating action that replaces that of the unavailable tear film.

How to use
Instil one drop per eye several times a day. If used together with other eye drops, it is advisable to administer them at different times to avoid mutual dilution.

Warnings
Do not let the dropper tip touch any surface, to avoid contaminating the solution. Close the bottle tightly after use. Keep out of the reach of children.

Storage
Store in a cool, dry place at room temperature. Use the product within one month of opening the bottle: do not use any remaining product.
