Medical device CE 0426, class IIa. Stopper is effectively used in case of accelerated intestinal transit (acute and chronic diarrhoea), in the presence of ileostomy or ileoanal anastomosis or following surgery of the digestive system, including obesity surgery, in case of diarrhoea due to irritable bowel, in case of "traveller's diarrhoea" or to improve faecal continence in the presence of loose stools. Lemon flavour.

Ingredients
1 sachet: 3.00 g of diosmectite.

Directions for use
The amount of Stopper to be taken daily varies and depends on the individual condition of the patient and/or the doctor's advice. As a guide:
- in acute diarrhoea, 1-2 sachets after each loose stool;
- in faecal incontinence and chronic diarrhoea, from 1 to 3 sachets a day, starting with 1 sachet and gradually increasing the amount, to prevent an unbalanced increase in stool consistency.
The product is an oral suspension, already dosed, so it can be taken as it is or diluted in an equal amount of water.
Use in children:
- children over 6 years: 2 - 3 sachets a day;
- children over 1 year: 1 - 2 sachets a day.

Interactions
Cardiac glycosides, alkaloids, oestrogens, chloroquine, clindamycin, digoxin, lincomycin.

Warnings
Take the product at least 2 hours before or 2 hours after medicines, particularly during therapy with the medicines listed above. If symptoms do not improve, consult a doctor.

Side effects
Constipation.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding
Only if necessary and after consulting your doctor.

Diabetics
Permitted.

Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to diosmectite. Diarrhoea secondary to pseudomembranous enterocolitis and, in general, to serious organic diseases of the gastrointestinal tract.
