Low-osmolarity (245 mOsm/l H2O) oral rehydration solution (ORS), formulated according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF). IDRATON 245 ® makes use of the enterocyte sodium-glucose co-transport system, which remains intact during gastroenteritis. In both secretory and osmotic diarrhoea, the functioning of this system allows water to pass from the intestinal lumen to the enterocyte and from the enterocyte to the plasma, provided it is given together with correctly diluted sodium and glucose in the correct ratio. Directions for use
Severe dehydration: dissolve 1 sachet in every 200 ml of still water (5 sachets in 1 litre); drink 1 or 2 litres a day or as advised by your doctor. Keep to the above ratio to obtain the correct electrolyte concentration (245 mOsm/l). In other cases of dehydration and/or heavy loss of water and salts and increased water and salt requirements: 2/3 sachets in one litre of water, drinking as desired.

Contraindications
Severe kidney failure, severe heart failure, dynamic ileus.

Warnings
In case of kidney failure and heart failure, consult your doctor before taking the product. For children, seek the advice of a paediatrician. During pregnancy and breastfeeding, seek medical advice. Contains sucralose, a sweetener derived from sugar (sucrose). Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Keep out of the reach of children under 3 years of age. Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a varied diet.
