COMPOSITION
Hyaluronic acid sodium salt 10 mg, sweet almond oil, semi-synthetic glycerides, pentaerythrityl tetra-di-t-butyl hydroxyhydrocinnamate.
HOW IT IS SUPPLIED
FLUVADINplus comes in the form of pessaries for vaginal use. The pack contains 10 pessaries of 2 g.
WHAT IT IS AND WHAT IT IS USED FOR
Vaginal dryness is a condition that frequently occurs during menopause and post-menopause, although insufficient vaginal lubrication can occur at any age. In fact, hormonal changes associated with the menstrual cycle, ageing, menopause, childbirth and breastfeeding can affect vaginal lubrication.
The main cause of vaginal dryness is a decrease in the levels of oestrogens (female hormones), which help keep the vaginal tissue lubricated and elastic.
When oestrogen levels decrease, the vaginal walls become thinner, less elastic and more fragile (vaginal atrophy). The most common symptoms of vaginal atrophy include dryness, pain during sexual intercourse, vaginal irritation and burning.
FLUVAOINplus is a rapid and intensive-action vaginal moisturiser designed to restore hydration in cases of vaginal dryness, irritation and atrophy. FLUVADINplus performs its activity thanks to the presence of hyaluronic acid and sweet almond oil. Hyaluronic acid is a mucopolysaccharide naturally present in the body and abundantly distributed in many body tissues, where it acts as a structural support, giving the tissue tone, trophism and elasticity. Sweet almond oil has proven emollient and lubricating properties.
INDICATIONS
Adjuvant treatment of repair processes in atrophic and dystrophic conditions of the vaginal mucosa.
WHEN IT SHOULD NOT BE USED
Do not use in case of individual hypersensitivity to any of the components of the product.

INTERACTIONS WITH OTHER PRODUCTS
No interactions with other products are known; therefore it is advisable to consult your doctor before using FLUVADINplus in combination with other medical devices or medicines for vaginal use.
HOW IT SHOULD BE USED
Remove the pessary by pulling the two tabs of the pre-cut blister and insert it gently into the vagina. Wash your hands before and after using the medical device.
WHEN AND FOR HOW LONG
Use one pessary a day, preferably in the evening before going to bed, or as prescribed by your doctor. The duration of use depends on how the symptoms evolve; if necessary, FLUVADINplus can be used for prolonged periods.
SIDE EFFECTS
The use, especially if prolonged, of any topical product may give rise to sensitisation. In this case, stop treatment and consult your doctor for suitable therapy. If you notice any other side effects, inform your doctor or pharmacist.
WARNINGS
Keep out of the reach of children. Avoid contact with the eyes. Do not swallow.
EXPIRY, STORAGE AND DISPOSAL
The expiry date refers to the product in intact, correctly stored packaging. Do not use after the expiry date or if the pack is open or damaged. Store the medical device away from light and heat, preferably at a temperature between 4°C and 25°C. Medical devices must not be disposed of via wastewater or household waste; ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medical devices no longer in use. This will help protect the environment.
