HYLO NIGHT
Description
Sterile eye ointment for ophthalmic use.
HYLO NIGHT protects the ocular surface and stabilises the tear film. HYLO NIGHT is an eye ointment that, thanks to its particular composition, is easy to apply to the ocular surface. The vitamin A it contains is a natural constituent of the tear film, which promotes good tolerability of the eye ointment and ensures complete mixing with the tears. It relieves feelings of burning, dryness or tired eyes. It also makes it easier for the eyelids to glide over the corneal and conjunctival surface.
Components
1 g HYLO NIGHT contains 250 IU of retinol palmitate (vitamin A), paraffin, light liquid paraffin, lanolin and white petrolatum.
Directions for use
Use in air-conditioned environments, for example in a car or on a plane, and in the presence of wind, cold or intense sunlight; stale air or cigarette smoke also often cause dry or itchy eyes with a related feeling of dryness or a foreign body. These symptoms can also be caused by excessive visual strain, for example when working too many hours at a computer, watching television or driving at night. The risk of these eye complaints is even higher if you wear contact lenses. HYLO NIGHT relieves these symptoms by creating an adequate, long-lasting protective film over the eye. The oily consistency of the ointment causes a slight, temporary blurring of vision, so it is preferable to apply HYLO NIGHT in the evening before going to sleep. HYLO NIGHT can also prevent any discomfort when first opening the eyes on waking.
Eye ointments must be used avoiding contact of the nozzle with the eye or skin.
Use HYLO NIGHT only if the seal of the box was intact before first use.
Unscrew the cap covering the nozzle.
1) Tilt your head back and gently pull down the lower eyelid with a finger of one hand.
2) With the other hand, hold the tube vertically above the eye. Apply a strip of ointment into the conjunctival sac, pressing the tube lightly.
3) Close the eyelids gently, then blink normally.
Replace the cap on the tube.
To avoid contamination, avoid contact of the nozzle with the eye or any other surface.
The frequency of use depends on your personal habits and needs. HYLO NIGHT can be used in addition to lubricating eye drops and is applied once a day in the evening before going to sleep. In case of more severe dry eye, HYLO NIGHT is generally applied three times a day in each eye. For more frequent use of HYLO NIGHT, consult your ophthalmologist. There is no limit on the duration of treatment.
Warnings
Using HYLO NIGHT during the day causes slight blurring of vision due to the greasy consistency of the ointment. In this case, avoid driving, operating machinery or working without a stable footing. HYLO NIGHT must not be used at the same time as other ophthalmic medicinal products. In these cases, HYLO NIGHT should be used at least 30 minutes after applying other medicinal products to the eye. To dispense the ointment, press the tube lightly without bending or rolling it. Based on the most recent data, HYLO NIGHT can also be used in children and in women during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Use one pack of HYLO NIGHT per person. In very rare cases, hypersensitivity reactions such as redness, burning, itchy eyes or excessive watering have been reported, which improved immediately after stopping treatment with HYLO NIGHT.
HYLO NIGHT must not be used in case of established individual hypersensitivity to any of the product's components. HYLO NIGHT must not be applied while wearing contact lenses. HYLO NIGHT must not be used immediately after eye surgery or following acute eye injuries, as there are no clinical studies for this purpose.
Storage
Do not store above 25°C.
If stored correctly, HYLO NIGHT can be used for up to 6 months after first opening.
Do not use HYLO NIGHT after the expiry date.
Keep HYLO NIGHT out of reach of children.
