How to use Before preparation, make sure the area is clean and wash and dry your hands thoroughly. Boil the amount of drinking water needed to make up the product in a clean container and let it cool until lukewarm. Pour the lukewarm water into a previously sterilised bottle or cup, following the instructions in the preparation table. Add level scoops of powder as indicated in the preparation table, using only the scoop provided in the pack. Close the bottle or cup and shake for about 10 seconds to dissolve the powder. Prepare the bottle or cup only at feeding time. Once ready, test the temperature on your wrist and give it to the child within two hours of preparation. Do not reuse any leftover prepared product and do not reheat or boil the product once made up.
Due to its properties, the product may separate once made up. If this happens, shake the bottle again until the mixture is uniform.
For 1 cup, mix 210 ml of boiled water and 7 scoops. The dosage can be adjusted on the advice of your paediatrician, according to the child's needs. Use only the scoop provided in the pack.
Mellin 3 is made up at 14.9% by adding one level scoop of powder (approx. 5 g) to every 30 ml of water.
Warnings Follow the instructions carefully. Incorrect preparation and storage could pose a risk to the child's health.
Breast milk is the ideal food for infants and is recommended as the sole food until 6 months and as the milk component of a balanced diet during weaning and beyond the first year. Mellin 3 should be used as part of a varied, balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle, following your paediatrician's advice.
