Description
Eye drops for dry eyes.
Particularly suitable for the treatment of dry eye, it provides relief from the burning and irritation caused by ocular dryness. Thanks to its formulation, Isomar Occhi Plus helps soothe the symptoms of dry eye through the following actions:
1. osmoprotective: one of the main causes of dry eye is reduced or abnormal tear secretion caused by an alteration of the natural cellular osmotic balance. Isomar Occhi Plus contains the Isoeye Plus complex (Propylene Glycol, Erythritol, Betaine, L-Carnitine), which provides an osmoprotective action, hydrating and protecting the epithelial cells of the cornea from potential cell damage caused by hyperosmolarity;
2. rehydrating: hypotonic sea water, distilled cornflower, calendula and eyebright waters and Cineraria maritima extract support hydration of the ocular surface;
3. lubricating: hyaluronic acid and hypromellose stabilise the tear film, helping to keep the ocular surface lubricated and hydrated.
Isomar Occhi Plus provides relief from redness, irritation, burning, itching and foreign-body sensation, and from watering and eye strain caused by factors such as exposure to wind and sunlight, dust, pollen, smog, smoke, dry heat, air-conditioned environments, prolonged screen use and contact lens wear.
Isomar Occhi Plus can be used with any type of contact lens. For greater lubricating and soothing action, instil Isomar Occhi Plus before inserting the lenses.
The medical device is intended for users without specialist knowledge, following the instructions for use provided by the manufacturer. The medical device is intended for use in the home environment. The user is provided with all the information necessary for correct and safe use of the device.
Directions for use
1-2 drops per eye every 4/5 hours. Alternate treatment cycles with 7-day breaks. Each cycle should not exceed 30 days of treatment.
For correct use of the product, follow these instructions:
- open the pack and, at first use, remove the protective seal and the cap;
- tilt your head back and hold the vial upside down over the eye;
- gently pull down the lower eyelid with a finger and gradually increase the pressure of your fingers on the vial until a drop forms;
- instil 1-2 drops into the conjunctival sac every 4-5 hours;
- close the eye for a few seconds;
- close the vial immediately after use.
The solution can be used within 6 months of first opening. If necessary, repeat in the other eye.
The cap used for Isomar Occhi Plus is specially designed to guarantee the sterility of the product during use and optimal dispensing; do not squeeze the closed vial hard, to prevent drops escaping from the cap grid. As the solution in the vial runs out, it may be necessary to apply greater pressure.
Components
Purified water, sea water (20-26%)*, Jacobaea maritima extract (0,01%), Calendula officinalis flower water (0,1%), Centaurea cyanus flower water (0,1%), Helichrysum italicum flower water (0,1%), Euphrasia officinalis flower/leaf/stem water (0,001%), erythritol (0,15%), propylene glycol (0,25%), betaine (0,1%), L-carnitine (0,15%), hydroxypropylmethylcellulose (0,25%), sodium hyaluronate (0,25%).

Warnings
The medical device is not suitable for people with known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formulation. Read the information provided by the manufacturer carefully before use. Do not exceed the recommended dose. Stop treatment if any undesirable effect occurs. Do not use at the same time as other topical treatments. Do not swallow. The product is intended for ophthalmic use only. Do not pierce or tamper with the packaging. Do not use the product if the packaging is open or damaged. Do not use after the expiry date. The expiry date refers to the product in intact packaging, correctly stored. The product is intended for adult patients. There are no specific data on the use of the product in children and pregnant women. Keep out of the sight and reach of children. Wash your hands thoroughly before applying the solution and do not touch the tip of the dispenser with your hands. When applying the solution, do not touch the conjunctival membrane with the tip of the vial. For correct storage, close the vial properly after each use. Do not dispose of the vial in the environment after use. In the event of a serious incident related to the medical device, report it immediately to the manufacturer and to the Competent Authority of the Member State in which the incident occurred.
Storage
Store in the carton, in a dry place, away from light and heat, at a temperature between 5°C and 25°C.
Shelf life in intact packaging: 36 months.
