Fluistar A
Description
Medical device for inhalation based on propolis and plant extracts of grapefruit, echinacea, thyme and 2.0% sodium chloride. Fluistar A is a ready-to-use, pale yellow, slightly hypertonic, sterile solution for nebulisers.
Fluistar A is indicated for acute and chronic conditions of the upper airways, particularly the rhinosinusal and rhinopharyngeal areas.
Ingredients
Grapefruit seed dry extract (Citrus paradisi), echinacea dry extract (Echinacea angustifolia) standardised to 0.6% echinacosides, wild thyme dry extract (Thymus serpyllum), freeze-dried propolis dry extract (Propolis) standardised to 2.5% galangin, sodium chloride 2.0%, sodium dihydrogen phosphate monohydrate, disodium sulphate dihydrate, maltodextrin, purified water q.s. to 100 ml.
Directions for use
In acute conditions such as rhinosinusitis, whether allergic or infectious, 2 inhalations a day are recommended for at least 5 consecutive days or until symptoms improve. In patients at risk of allergic or infectious episodes, it is also recommended to repeat a 5-day cycle as a preventive measure, even 4 weeks after treatment. In chronic conditions, treatment cycles of at least 5 consecutive days per month are recommended, at least 4-5 times a year or as prescribed by a doctor. The product can be used with all types of nebuliser (piston, ultrasonic, etc.) and nasal douches. Fluistar A contains no preservatives and is also suitable for frequent and prolonged use.
1) Bend the single-dose container in both directions and detach it from the strip of 5 containers to which it is joined.
2) Shake the single-dose container gently before use.
3) Twist and break off the cap of the container.
4) Apply moderate pressure to the sides of the single-dose container, squeeze out the indicated amount of solution and pour it into the nebuliser cup (aerosol device).
5) Ready-to-use solution, do not dilute.
6) The solution in the container is for single-patient, single use.
7) Any solution left in the container or nebuliser cup after use must be discarded.
Warnings
Read all the information in the package leaflet carefully before use. The product is for inhalation only, do not swallow. Do not use the product if the containers are not perfectly intact. Keep out of the reach of children. Wash your hands thoroughly before opening the container for administration. It is advisable to blow your nose before starting treatment. When pouring into the cup, do not touch other surfaces with the tip of the container. Do not use the product in case of known incompatibility with even one component of the formulation. If symptoms such as bronchospasm or coughing occur during use, stop treatment immediately and consult a doctor. Administration of inhaled medicines at the same time as Fluistar A solution must be carried out under medical supervision and at a time interval from the use of Fluistar A inhalation solution. Do not use the product after the expiry date shown on the pack. Once the container has been opened, pour out the contents immediately and do not reuse any remaining contents. Do not dispose of the container in the environment after use.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, away from heat sources and direct sunlight, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C, and keep inside the box.
Shelf life in intact packaging: 36 months.
