Active Ingredients
One tablet contains: active ingredients: toldimfos (sodium salt) (equivalent to 40 mg acid) 44.5 mg; thiamine mononitrate (Vitamin B1) 20 mg; riboflavin (Vitamin B2) 2 mg; pyridoxine hydrochloride (Vitamin B6) 1 mg; cyanocobalamin (Vitamin B12) 8 mcg; nicotinamide (Vitamin PP) 20 mg; calcium pantothenate 4 mg. Excipients: for the full list of excipients, see section 6.1.
Excipients
Maize starch, rice starch, gum arabic, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, mono- and diglycerides of edible fatty acids, polyvinylpyrrolidone, talc.
Indications
B-group vitamin deficiency states and their various clinical forms, paresis and tetany, asthenia, convalescence, stress and intense muscular work, anaemia.
Contraindications/Side Effects
Hypersensitivity to the active ingredients or to any of the listed excipients.
Safety in Target Species
Do not exceed the indicated doses and duration. The product has a high safety margin. The toxicity of toldimfos is very low. Acute intravenous toxicity is between 5000 and 6000 mg/kg. Intravenous vitamin B1 has an acute toxicity of 300 mg/kg in dogs. The maximum dose used in this species when administering Stimulfos Tablets is 5 mg/kg. The B-group vitamins contained in Stimulfos Tablets do not have particularly high individual concentrations and are those normally used in supportive therapies.
Dosage
For oral use. Stress and intense muscular work, paresis and tetany: depending on the clinical picture and at the discretion of the veterinary surgeon, give one tablet per 4 kg of body weight or one tablet per 8 kg of body weight once a day for ten days. As a B-group multivitamin: one tablet per 20 kg of body weight once a day for ten days. Anaemia and convalescence: one tablet per 8 kg of body weight once a day for ten days. The tablet has a cross-shaped score line to allow division into halves or quarters. Place the tablet on a flat surface with the score lines facing upwards. Press with the thumb on the centre of the tablet to divide it into 4 quarters.
Storage
Do not store above 25 °C. After each use, close the bottle to protect the medicine from light and moisture. Shelf life of the veterinary medicinal product as packaged for sale: 3 years. Shelf life after first opening of the immediate packaging: 25 days.
