Visavis
Description
Ophthalmic medical device consisting of a slightly hypo-osmolar, sterile, preservative-free solution at physiological pH, containing a combination of medium molecular weight hyaluronic acid and liposomes. The liposomes, combined with hyaluronic acid, provide functional support to the ocular surface, restoring the lipid layer responsible for containing and controlling evaporation of the tear film.
Visavis also helps regulate and improve the lubrication and hydration of the ocular mucosa.
Visavis is indicated to relieve eye redness, dryness and strain in cases of dry eye syndrome, particularly when caused by a qualitatively inadequate lipid layer on the ocular surface, environmental stress (dust, allergens, smoke, air conditioning, pollution) and visual stress due to the use of computers, television and screens. The product can also be used while wearing contact lenses to improve eye lubrication and comfort.
Directions for use
1. Open the protective aluminium pouch.
2. Detach a single-dose vial from the strip.
3. Twist and break off the cap of the vial.
4. Gently squeeze the body of the vial and instil 2-3 drops into each eye.
5. The vial is resealable; after instillation, close it immediately with its cap and use the remaining contents within the next 12 hours.
6. Keep unused vials in the aluminium pouch until finished.
7. Each vial is for single-patient use.
8. The product is compatible with contact lenses.
Instil 1-2 times a day, or as advised by your doctor.
Components
Lipoid 1%, hyaluronic acid sodium salt, sodium chloride, trisodium citrate dihydrate, citric acid monohydrate, purified water q.s. to 100 ml.
Ingredients
The product is for ophthalmic use only. Once opened, the single-dose vial can be resealed with its cap and the remaining contents must be used within 12 hours. If necessary, consult your doctor for use in children and during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Do not use the product if the aluminium pouch is damaged and/or the vials are not perfectly intact. Keep out of the reach of children. Wash your hands thoroughly before opening the vial to instil the drops. During instillation, do not touch the eye or any other surface with the tip of the vial. Do not use the product in case of known intolerance to even one component of the formulation. If needed, check with your optician that the eye drops are compatible with the contact lenses you use. In case of problems such as sensitisation, irritation or burning during use, stop treatment immediately and consult a doctor. Any ophthalmic medicines should be administered at least 15 minutes apart from the eye drops, particularly products containing benzalkonium chloride or other quaternary ammonium salts, to avoid precipitation of the hyaluronic acid. Use of ophthalmic medicines at the same time as the eye drops should be carried out under the supervision of a doctor, who can assess possible interactions. Do not use the product after the expiry date shown on the pack. Do not dispose of the container in the environment after use.
Storage
Store in a dry place, away from heat sources and direct sunlight, at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C, keeping unused vials in the aluminium pouch.
Shelf life in unopened packaging: 36 months.
